BALTIMORE, Md. – Like many around the world, a Baltimore woman says COVID-19 stole her chance at a dream wedding.
Sarah Studley was about to tie the knot at Balboa Park in San Diego, California.
Instead, she had to be content with a small on-site ceremony attended only by the immediate family.
On Sunday, Studley decided to pull her wedding dress out of storage and wear it to her vaccination appointment at M&T Bank Stadium.
When the staff there saw Sarah and learned her story, things felt a bit like the party that had been missed.
“Rather than just hanging the beautiful dress in her closet for her pandemic-canceled wedding reception, Sarah Studley wore it to get vaccinated,” the University of Maryland Medical System wrote in a tweet.
Here comes the bride … to get vaccinated at the M&T Bank Stadium mass vaccination site! Instead of just leaving the beautiful dress hanging in her closet for her wedding reception, which was canceled by the pandemic, Sarah Studley wore it to get vaccinated. pic.twitter.com/eeRJvITO51
