BOCA RATON, Fla. – Mimoza Haska, of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, was named the winner of the 15th Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Attire Contest, presented by Charm Weddings and Quilted Northern on the design showcase.

Twelve finalists presented their work at the finals of the competition in New York City. Designer candidates made clothes out of nothing but toilet paper, tape, glue, and a needle and thread. This year there were 1,576 participants.

The event was hosted by Paige Davis from “Trading Spaces” on TV, while Laura Gawne and Susan Bain from Charm Weddings, Charles Ekenga, Senior Brand Manager Quilted Northern Team, Monte Durham from “Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta”, Jeremiah Brent by “Nate” and Jeremiah by Design “and Zanna Roberts Rassi, Fashion Editor at Large for” Marie Claire “, acted as jurors for this year’s competition and selected the winning designs.

This year, participants took part in three categories including Traditional, Modern and Culture.

At the runway show, a winner was selected from each category, with the jury determining first, second and third place overall. started the annual competition 15 years ago based on the popular bridal shower game. As the competition grows in popularity, so does the number of entries and the level of the competition each year.

Mimoza Haska of Surfside Beach, South Carolina won the grand prize of $ 10,000 and was supported by eleven other finalists from around the country in the finals. The runner-up winner was Donna Vincler of Brentwood, Tennessee, and she received a check for $ 5,000. Third place winner Susan Nicholson of Kennesaw, Georgia received $ 2,500.

Designers used between 12 and 123 rolls of toilet paper to create each wedding design.
