A failed bridesmaid dress goes viral on TikTok after a woman received her dress in the mail and it didn’t look what it did online.
Anna Dinh posted her reaction to the debacle on TikTok, saying that she bought the $ 200 dress for her sister’s wedding. The reaction video now has over 2 million views.
Anna’s sister, Lynn, found a light blue dress on DHgate.com – an online marketplace based in China, similar to popular sites like Shein.
According to both sisters, the dress was described in the listing as a “baby blue mermaid ball gown” with a “detachable train,” a “high-side split,” and “sequin lace” details.

Lynn’s wedding, which is slated for August, has a Starry Nights theme with a blue color scheme, so Lynn and Anna thought the dress would be perfect.
“I’m literally crying,” Anna said on her TikTok while covering her face and laughing. “[It] is so ugly. “
“MY JAW DROPPED,” commented one user.
“It’s not even close,” added another.
“When I picked it up, it was super cheap. It was just fabric and didn’t have a pillow. Everything was transparent. You could even see the cups, ”Anna told Insider. “Honestly, it fit and hugged my body, but everything else was horrible. There was no glitter and it felt like it could tear if I just bent down. “
Lynn reportedly tried to request a refund by contacting the third party vendor who listed the dress on DHgate.com. However, in the end, she only got $ 140 back.
“I work in a special occasion store and we tell customers really shouldn’t order online, but they don’t believe us!” One commentator wrote. “This stuff happens all the time!”
